Acorn Global was incorporated in 2001 to provide Virtual Event Services and system hosting as an application service provider. Acorn was an outgrowth of Creativity+ Inc. to provide expanded client services for content distribution using the power of the Internet. Creativity+ has been providing government and corporate clients IT and infrastructure services since 1995.

Core services include the capture of event, meeting, promotional or training materials using broadcast capable camera personnel and the packaging/distribution of virtual assets using the power of the Internet.

Acorn has also added complimentary services and products to build on our core capabilities allowing our clients to do the following:

• Develop unique offerings and promotional capabilities;
• Share content across like or affiliated organizations to improve operational effectiveness and possibly develop revenue generators as part of larger program development;
• Integrate content collection with distributed Audio/Video partners; and
• Provide the ACORN MCS4500 Media Collection System for the capture of audio, video and presentation content to clients.

Key personnel include the following:

Mr. Bruce Carruthers, President and Chief Architect

Bruce is a seasoned Project Manager and Management Consultant with 20 years experience including IT Security, Public Key Infrastructure, Secure Electronic Service Delivery, and e- commerce with large public sector and financial organizations. Bruce was the architect of the Acorn content delivery system that is used today by numerous accounts for the collection, delivery and support of their on-line content. Bruce also provides consulting to clients on the feasibility of material usage and formats for web-based system.

Mr. Rick Bugby, Director Sales and Marketing

Rick is an innovative, disciplined executive with more than 20 years experience in data conversion, technology, medical/health records, project management, engineering and most recently web-based content management.

Before joining ACORN is July 2004, Rick was COO of Accentus Inc., a start-up in the medical transcription business dealing with major hospitals in Canada. Prior to that Rick was Operations Manager for a division of Cap Gemini, an IT consulting firm, with responsibility for an IT Services group and a Vice President of data conversion and IT services groups for AGRA Monenco.

Rick is well positioned to bring his management, knowledge of the service industry and experience with content management to bear on this initiative.

Rick has an Engineering degree from the University of British Columbia and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.

Barry O'Hara, Marketing Consultant

Barry was responsible for concept development, research, sales and advertising during the launch of 35 products and services in Canada & the U.S.
